The 15th edition of KINOMANIA starts in Plovdiv
Films about Charles de Gaulle, Celine Dion and Fellini at Kinomania in Plovdiv
 
From the 16th to the 25th of April 2021 in "LUCKY House of Cinema" will be held the 15th edition of CINEMA MANIA postponed from last November in Plovdiv.
The regular program of Kinomania starts on Friday /16.04=2021/ at 6.30 pm with the winner of "Golden Rose" award for the best Bulgarian film for 2020 - "Fear" by Ivaylo Hristov.

The program of the panorama includes films about celebrities. De Gaulle tells the story of Charles de Gaulle and his incredible destiny, which will change not only French history but also the development of World War II.

"Celine Dion: The Power of Love" is about the great singer from her birth on the way to world fame.

The documentary "Fellini degli spiriti" is a rare, intimate and spiritual portrait of the great director, made through incredible archival materials from Rai Teche, Istituto Luce and international archives, excerpts from his films and interviews with researchers of his work.

Plovdiv residents will also be able to watch the classic "The man who would be king" with Sean Connery and Michael Caine. The two are in their element in the 1975 John Houston film - the imperialist parody of the rise of two crooks to the reign of Kafiristan.

Italian director Gabriele Mucino will make us think about the passing of time. His film "Gli anni piu belli" tells the story of four friends and their lives for 40 years, from their teens to adulthood.

The public will be able to enjoy "Supernova". With the magnificent partnership of Colin Firth and Stanley Tucci as a couple with a long history and an uncertain future, the film is a deeply moving and unobtrusively provocative exploration of love in the face of an impending tragedy.

The 15th edition of Kinomania will delight fans of good cinema with new films by great directors such as Woody Allen with "The Rifkin's Festival", Pedro Almodóvar with "The Human Voice" and Andrei Konchalovski with "Dear Comrades!".
 
"Kinomania in Plovdiv" is implemented with the financial support of the Municipality of Plovdiv as part of the Cultural Calendar of the city.
