Dear friends of the Culinary Arts Fair,
The opening of the Fifth Edition of "Ethno Kitchen on Wheels" and the Festival for Children and Families "Blue Summer" in Plovdiv is postponed to 16.00 on May 29 (Saturday), and the main cultural program, which was pre-planned for Friday, will will be presented on the open stage in Ribnitsa Park on Sunday (May 30th), when the children's holiday will last almost all day.
The changes are necessary due to the unfavorable weather forecasts for Friday and in order to ensure the safety of dozens of participants and the youngest art lovers in the audience.

We expect all parents who want their children to get in touch with different arts, to bring them to the park and give them an unforgettable series of experiences and beautiful emotions.

Fairytale days await the children of Plovdiv on the eve of June 1

The Fifth Edition of the Culinary Art Fair "Ethno Kitchen on Wheels (for Children)" and the First Festival for Children and Families "Blue Summer in Plovdiv" 2021 opens on May 28

The fifth edition of the Culinary Art Fair "Ethno Kitchen on Wheels", which opens on May 28 (Friday), this year will be dedicated to children and will be held in parallel with the first Festival for Children and Families "Blue Summer". The main location is Ribnitsa Park in the District "North" of the Municipality of Plovdiv.

Master chefs from different communities in Plovdiv will prepare and provide for tasting traditional snacks from the national cuisines of ethnic groups and favorite children's delicacies from the recent past. Only at the fair there will be home-made different types of Russian pies, delicious chocolate "potatoes", Jewish rolls with walnut filling "Roskitas De Alhashu", Hanukkah buns, borekitas, Turkish pastries and many other culinary temptations. The ice cream will be provided by the Italian community, especially for the days of the festival, the best children's ice cream from the country of ice cream.

In parallel with the culinary fair, on the open stage in the park children will be able to watch various performances. "Children's art for children" is the main motto of the events organized by the Foundation "Zaedno", which will be held from May 28 to June 1. The idea is for the kids from all communities in Plovdiv to get acquainted with all kinds of arts during the festival days.

The Academy of Music Education is preparing for the open stage in Ribnitsa Park the opera production for kids "The Wolf and the Seven Goats", in which over 70 children will take part on May 29. Especially for the festival, they will arrive from Sofia with their circus program and the graduates of the National School of Attraction Arts.The kids will also have the opportunity to watch the theatrical productions "A Tale of Important Things" (Sunday, May 30) and "The Little Tooth" by director Petya Nedeva.

Some of the most talented children from Plovdiv will take part in the music concerts. The festival will open the angelic Melek Eren. During the difficult year for all of us in 2020, she recorded her first video for one of the most beautiful, favorite and touching Bulgarian folk songs - "Are you a tulip, are you a hyacinth?" 11-year-old Anna-Maria is also preparing her concert. A special guest of the fair and the children's festival will be the Grace Ballet Dance School from Kazanlak, whose choreographer Alla Angelova is a graduate of the Moscow State University of Culture and Arts. The children's dance school at the All-Armenian Charitable Union "Parekordzagan" will also present its performance.

All children who like to paint will be able to take part in the open air "Tolerance and Gratitude", which will be led on the first day (May 28) by teachers and students from High school for art "Tsanko Lavrenov" or in the art workshop with traditional Armenian crafts. The children and their parents will have the opportunity to get acquainted with one of the most interesting editions for children on the Bulgarian market, which will be presented in the "Library on Wheels" on Saturday.

The big surprises will be on the stage of "Blue Summer" every day, along with the famous Italian magician Sergio Alfonso. And the Jewish community is preparing a challenge for the older boys and their fathers. On May 30 - the third day of the festival - they will have the opportunity to compete in the traditional for the holiday Lag Ba Omer game "Archery".

The project of the Foundation "Zaedno" for another year is part of the festivals in the Cultural Calendar of the city and is implemented with the financial support of the Municipality of Plovdiv. Surprises for the children on the eve of June 1 will be prepared by the partners of the fair and the children's festival - the Plovdiv company Chipolino, the chain of stores Pepco Bulgaria and the table "Living Water" of the Bottling Company "Hisar" from spring №7.
