The rainy and cold weather for the season hinders the construction of the sets and rehearsals, and the risk of rain in the evening will affect the mood of the audience and prevent them from enjoying the meeting with the wonderful actors and musicians.
The organizers of the event announced a new date - July 26, when the weather is expected to be warm and with no need of umbrellas and outerwear, we will move to Ancient Greece, where the plot of the show takes place.
Monte Music and the Varna State Opera emphasize that those who have bought tickets for May 31 must keep them and present them at the entrance of the Summer Theater Bunardjzhka to watch "Beautiful Elena" on July 26. No revalidation is required. If you are prevented from attending the event, you can return your tickets no later than July 20."

The classic operetta "Beautiful Helen" by Jacques Offenbach will be presented on the open stage of the Summer Theater - Bunardjika on 31 May at 9 p.m. In the comic operetta performance of the Varna State Opera we will enjoy a magnificent spectacle, dramatic play, opera singing and dancing. Against the background of spectacular decor and transformed into antique costumes, the talented soloists, choir, ballet and orchestra will tell the Plovdiv audience a melodic, elegant and humorous story.

The Beautiful Helen is the second operetta in the work of the founder of this genre Jacques Offenbach. Already with its premiere in 1864, it won the hearts of Parisians and reached a record 700 consecutive performances. Since then, he has not stopped multiplying the fame of his creator all over the world. In "Beautiful Helen" Offenbach is not interested in the ancient world, but only uses the mask of ancient heroes to expose with humor and irony the behavior of famous contemporaries.

In the role of the Beautiful Helen we will see the exceptionally talented and beautiful opera diva Ilina Mihailova. She is the only singer whom the legend Jose Carreras invited for his benefice concert in Sofia and Athens in 2019.

The symbol of the modern Bulgarian operetta Alexander Mutafchiyski will make us smile and have fun, embodied in the image of Menelaus. Plamen Raykov will take on the role of the seducer Paris, and by virtue of the predictions Velin Mihailov will convince us in the image of the priest Kalhas.

The staging of the Varna State Opera is by the doyen of operetta art Prof. Svetozar Donev, the choreographer is Anna Doneva, the set designer is Ivan Tokadzhiev, the costume designer is Ana-Maria Tokadzhieva. The conductor of the performance will be Stefan Boyadzhiev.
