Thanks to the great interest in the debut exhibition of the graphic artist Lyudmil Georgiev in Plovdiv, the author and the City Gallery of Fine Arts have decided to extend the term of the exhibition until June 18, so that more visitors can get acquainted with the work of the artist.

Lyudmil Georgiev debuted in Plovdiv with a large graphic exhibition at the Kapana Gallery

The famous graphic artist Lyudmil Georgiev chose the City Gallery of Fine Art for his first solo exhibition in Plovdiv. Despite his intense exhibition activity, so far he has not presented himself to the Plovdiv audience.

From May 11 to June 6, his graphic works, united by the title "Instead of Self-Portrait", will be exhibited on the two floors of the Kapana Gallery (29 Rayko Daskalov Street). Most of them were created in the past year and reveal "sustainable topics that excite the author, his plastic searches."

The opening is on May 11 from 17:00 to 19:00 h.

Lyudmil Georgiev was born on January 11, 1962. He has been a member of the Union of Bulgarian Artists since 1994. He lives and works in Sofia. Since 1987 he has participated in numerous national and regional graphic exhibitions. In addition, his works have been selected for a number of international exhibitions in Italy, Germany, Austria, Poland, Serbia, Macedonia and Japan. He has solo exhibitions in Paris, Belgrade, Berlin, Frankfurt and other cities in Bulgaria and abroad. He has won Bulgarian and foreign awards. In 2018, Lyudmil Georgiev created the first gallery of its kind in Bulgaria - Grafikart.

Since 2017, in cooperation with the Ministry of Culture of Bulgaria, every two years organizes a National competition for graphics - classical techniques.
