National high school of stage and film design - Plovdiv with an exhibition in the City Art Gallery for its 45th birthday

The National high school of stage and film design will celebrate its 45th anniversary with a large exhibition in the Temporary Exhibition Halls at 15 Knyaz Alexander I Street. The official opening is scheduled for 15 May (Saturday) from 11:00 h. to 12:30 h.

The school was established in 1975 on the initiative of the Plovdiv theatergoers Svetoslav Genev, Atanas Boyadzhiev, Veselin Kovachev and others as a High School of Art for Stage Staff.

Many of the more than 2,200 students who have graduated so far have been successful in theater, film, television and many other genres of visual arts.

The exhibition is very diverse and curious, because it will be possible to see scenographic projects, costumes, animation, short films, sculpture, painting, illustration, photography, icon painting, restoration, etc.

The curator of the exhibition is the long-time director of School Emilia Arabadzhieva, and the participants are more than 40 established artists in their field, who appear both in Bulgaria and around the world. We will mention only a few names - Petar Mitev, Angel Geshev, Sotir Gelev, Tihomir Penov, Boris Stoilov, Sasho Zahariev, Ivan Karev, Nikola Pevicharov, Kolyo Karamfilov, Donka Boeva, Petko Tanchev, Ilian Zarkov, Teodora Lazarova, Dimitar Marinski and others.

The exhibition will be available until 2 June.
