Three are Too Many Festival: Pedestrian Zone- interactive street performance
Pedestrian Zone
Family Zone is a project about creating an interactive street performance, intended for open public areas in Plovdiv. Actors, with the help of giant puppets, re-create stories and scenes of actual daily life problems with the aid of theatre. The performance will be presented outdoor on 3rd and 4th September from 18 till 19h starting from the Central square and ending by the building of the puppet theatre and on the 5th September - starting from the Maritza pharmacy square.
Family Zone uses public city areas as a magnifying glass, through which different aspects of relations are being studied: parents-children, humanity–nature, the nature of humanity, culture, are some of the important topics, discussed with the means of exaggeration and irony. The baseline is TOGETHER. The unity, which starts from home as an environment and is transferred into society, while changing current attitudes and stereotypes.
The show is suitable for audiences, using the universal means of expression of theatre, with no language barrier.
Playwrights and directors: Eva Kyosovska and Vesselin Boydev. The scenographer is Krum Krumov. The creative team includes the artists and the ateliers of State Puppet Theatre Plovdiv.
The project is a production Three are Too Many, Two - Not Enough NPO and is part of the LEGACY programme of Plovdiv - European Capital of Culture 2019.
