Conductor - Konstantin Dobroykov

Emanuil Ivanov - the 22-year-old virtuoso, who debuted at the beginning of 2021 with a recital at La Scala, takes the stage of Ancient Theatre Plovdiv just days before his international tour as the big winner (among 400 candidates!) in the international piano competition "Ferruccio Busoni" 2019. Today, the talented pianist is studying at the Royal Conservatory in Birmingham, and before the meeting with the audience in Plovdiv, he will perform with the Philharmonic of St. Petersburg and the Hercules Hall in Munich. At the Ancient Theatre, Emanuil Ivanov will perform a Concerto in F by George Gershwin with the orchestra of State Opera Plovdiv in a programme thematically dedicated to the American composer.

The performance is part of the OPERA OPEN 2021 project of the Legacy programme of Plovdiv - European Capital of Culture 2019.
