The 18th edition of the International Francophone Song Festival "Golden Key" - Plovdiv 2021 begins
A few days remain until the start of the largest forum of French music and song art in the Balkans - the 18th edition of the International Francophone Song Festival "Golden Key" - Plovdiv 2021, which this year is under the sign of the 30th anniversary of the restoration of Alliance Française in Plovdiv, when in 1991 the General Representation of Alliance Française Paris for Bulgaria opened its doors here and the first French alliance was established in the city.
"The events start on July 12 with a creative workshop between our music partner Art Voice Center, led by Rumyana Ivanova, and French talent from Jessandwest," said Alliance Director Teofana Bradinska. The first concert on July 13 should be entirely joint, and the French musicians should accompany the Bulgarian talents. Due to the sanitary situation and the participation of guests from France, this year's Festival will be again on the South Terrace of the City Hall of Culture "Boris Hristov".
The anthem of this event will be the song "Champs-Elysees" in a special jazz version in a different performance by Christina Karabelova and "Talents of France" duet Jessandwest.
At this Festival, the youngest participant Niya Neykova is only 9 years old and will sing "La vie en rose". The audience will be able to enjoy impressive and captivating performances of the experienced star Iva Ichevska, the talented Joana Tasheva, who is 10 years old, Georgi Neykov, 18 years old and Christian Pavlov, 15 years old, and other talented graduates of Art Voice Center. who will perform popular chansons, but with a specially made, very interesting contemporary arrangement. The concert will be attended by Bulgarian laureates who have won the competition in recent years, such as Marina Spasova, Nadezhda Dimova and Joseph Bambin. Lawyers, pharmacists doctors. They already have professions far from music, but remain captive to French chanson.
The talented Veneta Pavlova from the Language School "Ivan Vazov" will paint on the stage, inspired by the performances of the participants and the dream of training in the specialty at a renowned French university.
On July 14, the Day of the Bastille - the National Holiday of France will sing the big winner for 2019 from the music format on French national television, "The Talent of France", which will participate in Plovdiv again in 2021 at our Festival, with concert-recital. These are the charming twin brothers Jess and Wesley from Jessandwest, who already have many friends and fans in Plovdiv. They will enchant the audience with their new performances specially prepared for their participation in Bulgaria, and this concert will not go without surprises. They will be presented by some of the Bulgarian performers and will be very attractive.
Since the whole festival is under the label "Festival of Music" and here, as well as around the world, it is made with the exclusive assistance of the municipality of Plovdiv, and the concerts are free and admission is free.
