The 12th edition of "Facade Video Festival" starts in Plovdiv

Art Today Association invites Plovdiv residents and fans of visual art to the 12th edition of "Facade Video Festival". The place is the Lapidarium in the Old Town, and the dates are September 24-26, 2021.

Facade Video Festival brings together video art from around the world in Plovdiv. At this year's twelfth edition, out of 178 films submitted, 34 works from 18 countries were admitted: Germany, Spain, Italy, France, Belgium, Bulgaria, Lithuania, Ukraine, Russia, Serbia, Great Britain, USA, Canada, Argentina, Colombia, Brazil, Australia, Japan.

In two consecutive evenings - September 24, 25 from 20:00 h., Plovdiv residents and guests of the city will have the opportunity to get acquainted with different views, topics and genres in the field of video art. All films, according to the rules of the competition, have a duration of up to 10 minutes.

The winner of the festival's award, which will receive 1,000 euros, will be announced on the 25th September.

On September 26, again from 20:00 h., the ranked films from the student program of the Facade Video Festival will be presented and the awarded films will be announced.

The place is Lapidarium in the Old Town, where the official opening will be on September 24 at 20.00 h. Don't miss and become part of the VIDEO ART experience.

"Facade Video Festival" is implemented with the support of the Municipality of Plovdiv and is part of the Cultural Calendar of the city for 2021, as well as with the support of the Goethe Institute in Sofia and the National Fund "Culture".
