With a retrospective exhibition at the Kapana Gallery, the Scenography specialty at AMTII celebrates its 25th anniversary

"Scenography" is the first accredited specialty in the field of fine arts at the Plovdiv Academy of Music, Dance and Fine Arts "Prof. Asen Diamandiev". The quarter-century anniversary is an occasion to present in the gallery space the achievements of the graduates and teachers over the years. The exhibition includes educational projects of students in the last five years, as well as the best works from the archives of the specialty. Former graduates, today successful artists, are also invited to participate. However, as the scenographer Assoc. Prof. Vessela Statkova - Head of the Department of Applied Arts emphasizes:

"The emphasis in the exhibition is the present - the ideas and imagination of our students, the new directions and trends in which modern scenography develops, learning in the digital world. The tendency of transformation of the theatrical space under the influence of digital technologies, the discovery of virtual reality as a new creative territory of the modern scenographer is highlighted.

"25 years of Scenography in AMTII" opens on July 6 at 18:00 h. in the Gallery "Kapana" (29 Rayko Daskalov Str.) and will last until July 23.
