VIII International Photo Salon PLOVDIV 2021 - Opening of the exhibition and awarding!

Plovdiv International Photo Salon is held for the eighth consecutive year and is again under the patronage of FIAP, HPS and NSFA, and of course with the traditional support of the Municipality of Plovdiv. Despite all the difficulties and trials that the organizers were subjected to in connection with the measures and restrictions due to the covid pandemic in Bulgaria and around the world, they managed to attract the attention of 353 authors with a total of 4851 photographs from 46 countries in all 6 sections. For the final selection, 1177 photographs of 263 participants from 42 countries were evaluated.

A five-member jury of two foreigners and three Bulgarians reviewed and evaluated all photographs from 3 to 5 June 2021. The jury was chaired by Michele Machinai, EFIAP / s, AFI from Italy, and the second foreigner was Spyros Jatropolus, EFIAP / p, ESFIAP from Greece. The Bulgarian members were Teodora Dimitrova, AFIAP, Plamen Petkov, EFIAP and Yavor Michev, AFIAP. With their high professionalism and experience, on the last day of judging they determined all the awards.

The official opening to the public of a selection of the awarded photographs and the award ceremony will take place on 31.07.2021, from 13:00 h. in Plovdiv, Tsar Simeon's Garden, the alley of the Demetra fountain. The exhibition includes only part of the awarded photographs - a total of 98 authors from 31 countries.
