The fifth edition of the Plovdiv Comedy Festival is part of the Autumn Salon of Arts Plovdiv 2021 and is supported by the Municipality of Plovdiv and is part of the Cultural Calendar of the city for 2021. In the days from 3 to 5 September 2021 in the big hall of the Hall of Culture "Boris Hristov" Plovdiv we will see the best of the Bulgarian stand-up comedy. The audience will be part of unforgettable 3 evenings with the top comedians of Bulgaria and the Balkans - Nikolaos Tsitiridis, Ivan Kirkov, Nikolay Bankov, Petya Kyupova, Alexander Deyanski, Hristo Radoev, Vasil Nozharov and many others.

Tickets are sold at all EVENTIM box offices throughout the country, in Plovdiv at the box office in front of the Municipality of Plovdiv, at the Hall of Culture "Boris Hristov", at the tourist information centre at the Roman Stadium, at the box office of the Ancient Theater and online.

The engine of the event is the comedian Ivan Kirkov, who first created the Comedy Festival in Bulgaria in Sofia in 2014, brought together the best stand-up comedians from the country on one stage with the idea of ​​the audience and comedians to develop their understanding of stand-up comedy together. This is also because in this genre it relies on an active role on the part of the audience and a lot of improvisations, as a result of this communication.

In the first years of the festival, foreign comedians were the focus of what was happening, but from year to year the Bulgarian representatives began to become more and more favorite in terms of fun and laughter. Over the years, the Comedy Festival was attended by great world comedians such as Jimmy Carr, Stephen Kay Ames, Daniel Slos, Daliso Chaponda, and the special edition of the Festival, together with Comedy Club Sofia, attracted even Louis KK in Bulgaria.

In 2017, Ivan Kirkov for the first time organized a "Plovdiv Comedy Festival". In 2020 the Comedy Festival was threatened by a global pandemic. However, the organizers did not give up and decided to carry out the event, albeit with more severe precautions than ever before. To our joy, people not only have not lost their sense of humor, but it seems that it has become even more necessary during these atypical 18 months and "Plovdiv 2020 Comedy Festival" will prove it to you!

"Dear friends,
We are sorry to announce that the participation of the stand-up comedian Marina Orsag and Martina Ipsha at the 5th Comedy Festival in Plovdiv has been canceled.
Due to the Covid-19 restrictions, her team was prevented from traveling.
The event on September 4 will not be canceled!
You will have the opportunity to watch a great show with the best of Bulgarian stand-up comedy!
The top comedians from Comedy Club Sofia will come on stage to entertain you with their jokes.
The creator of the Comedy Club - Ivan Kirkov participates in the show. With it you will see Petya Kyupova - resident of Comedy Club Sofia and Emo Yotsov, one of the talented young comedians.
All tickets purchased for September 4 will be valid for the respective date without recertification.
