“THE WORLD THROUGH COLOURS”

Jelena Vranic was born in 1978, in Nis. Went to “Steven Sremac” gymnasium in high school, and graduated for Faculty of Economy, University of Nis. She is a member of “LUNA” Association of Fine Arts from Nis. This is the second time she exhibits her paintings at REM – Plovdiv, since in May 2016 she participated in the exhibition “Life is simple art” by “LUNA” association. She started exhibiting in 2010 with “LUNA”. In 2013 she made her first exhibition. Since then she also takes part in the international exhibit under the title “Wonam Painters” in Majdampek. She finds infinite inspiration in exotic landscapes of Tahiland, Bali and North Africa, where she spend much time both for bussiniess and private reasons.

Artist Violeta Milovanović-Beka says for Jelena: “The art of daydreaming, imagination, contemplation, are the words that describe Jelena Vranić’s way of thinking and creating as a painter. Many of her paintings have a core around which, similarly to the Divine particle, the fragments of light, colour, and gentle surfaces crystallize, shine and scatter in all directions in an exquisite relationship that gives birth to a completely new and distinctive world. Every look at the canvas draws us deeper into the relation of colours and shapes, making us appreciate the painting more the longer we observe it.  If romanticism could be transcendental, it would be the most characteristic trait of her original expression!”

Welcome to the opening of the exhibition “The World through Colours” by Jelena Vranic on August 16th, 2017 in 18:00 at Regional Ethnographic Museum – Plovdiv! The exhibition will be on display until September 13th, 2017.
