Change of the date and time of the event of Opera Plovdiv
The "Family celebration" planned by Opera Plovdiv on June 1, Bunarzhdika Hill is CANCELED FOR JUNE 5 from 11:30 am at the same place!
Children and parents will enjoy the concert-performance "WHERE ARE MY CHILDREN'S BOOKS" - the most popular and beloved songs from Bulgarian children's films, performed by the children of the Academy of Mrs. Opera and the soloists of Opera Plovdiv, with the special participation of Julia Yordanova - KERANA.
Games "Fast, brave, skillful" for children and parents, a lot of fun, prizes and treats will await the children in the competitions immediately after the concert.
Everyone will receive ice cream - a gift from Nestle.

National Library "Ivan Vazov" Plovdiv, together with the Municipality of Plovdiv, Joint Command of Special Operations, Association for Social, Health and Legal Aid and Club "Agartha" organize a Children's Festival of Knowledge and Movement - "We read, play sports, we succeed!".

During this two-day event, children will be able to get acquainted with a healthy and active lifestyle, safe living in nature, the activities of institutions and organizations related to tourism, ecology, sports, pre-medical care and more. Our partners will present equipment, rescue methods and other survival techniques.

The demonstrations will take place around and in the Vienna pavilion of King Simeon's Garden. At the same time, we will witness alpine climbing using the wall of the Library. Orienteering in urban conditions will take place in the park. We are expecting you on May 29 and 30 from 10.00 to 17.00!

We will officially open the event on May 29 at 10.00 in front of the Library.

The program also includes other events that will take place in the Vienna Pavilion and the spaces around it.

The children's department of the National Library "Ivan Vazov" - Plovdiv will work for all who wish to register or borrow books.

Regional Museum of Natural History - Plovdiv will present on May 29 and 30 a mobile exhibition "RIVER OF BIODIVERSITY" with realistic models of animals.

On May 29, the Bulgarian Society for Protected Birds will organize bird watching and lectures, various games and activities for children.

On May 29 and 30, the Municipal Shelter for Stray Dogs will introduce children to the activities related to the care of those accommodated in the shelter and why and how everyone can adopt a dog. Several of our pets will attend the event. Children will have the opportunity to communicate and enjoy contact with them, to touch and caress them.

On May 29, SpeleoClub Association - "Puldin" will witness demonstrations of equipment and techniques for rescue and diving, penetration into caves and their study.

On May 29 and 30, our partners from the Wilder Rhodopes Foundation will present an exhibition and photos on the topic.

The Association of Parents of Children with Hearing Impairment will present models made by children, will demonstrate communication through gestures.

Our partners from the Bulgarian Tourist Union will present winter and summer equipment and mountain rescue facilities. They will make a demonstration with a rescue dog.

MAY 31 (MONDAY)

On 31.05.2021 (Monday) from 11:00 am will be the official opening of the renovated hall "Tropic" of the Regional with live tropical butterflies, which was closed to visitors for more than half a year. The opening date was chosen on the occasion of Children's Day - June 1. The long hiatus was triggered by anti-epidemic measures restricting visitors' access to the museum, as well as Britain's withdrawal from the EU, which hampered international transport and business relations with farms in the UK. The director of the museum Ch. Assistant Professor Dr. Ognyan Todorov used the appropriate opportunity to undertake a refreshing renovation of the hall and now visitors will enjoy an even friendlier atmosphere as beautiful tropical butterflies fly around them.

Special guests at the opening will be the Deputy Mayor "Culture, Archeology and Tourism" Plamen Panov, the Mayor of the Central Region Georgi Stamenov and the students from I "a" class from Sofia University "Tsar Simeon the Great" with class teacher M. Petrova, who will receive an individual talk in the museum's exposition and will be the first and exclusive guests of the hall to enjoy its new look. This honor is given to them by the mayor Georgi Stamenov as a sign of gratitude for the handmade card for the Easter holidays, received in the municipality a month ago.

We remind you that the Tropic Hall is open every day and receives visitors every 30 minutes, with the first visit of the day at 9:00 and the last at 16:30. The ticket price for adults is BGN 4.00, for students - BGN 3.00, and for children up to 7 years - BGN 1.

Traditionally, Kamenitza Park will be an attractive center for kids on June 1 - International Children's Day, where the Mayor of "East" District - Ivan Stoyanov invites children to a happy holiday. For the youngest residents of the "East" District of the Municipality of Plovdiv, he organizes stage performances of talented children, as well as many fun games with prizes. For another year, the Plovdiv radio KATRA FM continues the tradition and will delight with a spectacular celebration on the occasion of Children's Day! On the first of June at 5:30 pm on the square in front of the Municipality of Plovdiv, everyone who has kept the children's spark in themselves has the opportunity to give an unforgettable start to the summer to their kid!

Crazy party with lots of games, prizes, songs and dances for the kids. At the end of the "Magic Summer" celebration, the children will eat a piece of the biggest Cake Collection in Plovdiv. PETYA and EDIT from KATRA FM will take care of the fun and good mood of the kids.

In addition to countless fun and sweet temptations, spectators have the opportunity to support another noble cause of the "Caps for the Future" campaign. The donated funds will be used to purchase a neonatology ambulance, which is lacking in Plovdiv and the region. Volunteers from the Bulgarian Red Cross will raise symbolic funds in piggy banks. Those who donate the amount of BGN 1 will receive a ticket with which they will be able to participate in the final raffle, as well as a bottle of mineral water or juice.

To make it truly memorable, the celebration will be filmed with a drone. Participants will be able to find the video on social networks.

Performances of children from ODK - Plovdiv, NUMTI "Dobrin Petkov" and Art Voice Center - Mini Ballerinas - "Stars Dance Center", Plovdiv - DVG "Singing Kittens" and TF "Denitsa - Katerina Kaneva - ART VOICE CENTER", Folk Dance Ensemble "DILYANKA" - DANCE - Niya Peneva - "MINI STARS" - Velina Sarelska - "ART VOICE CENTER"  will take part in the festive program. Edith Undjian and Petya Plachkova, presenters of KATRA FM radio, will also perform musical performances. Fun games will be played on the stage, with the participation of parents. The prizes from the charity raffle will be drawn and distributed - bicycles, bags of toys, children's mattresses, children's cars, children's poufs, etc.

Cause:

Fundraising for a pediatric neonatology ambulance for Plovdiv and the region. There are currently only two children's specialized ambulances in Bulgaria. One is a donation from Pirogov, the other is at the Emergency Center in Sofia. According to studies, the price of a children's ambulance will cost about BGN 160,000. KATRA FM is involved in the cause of raising money for a pediatric neonatology ambulance. We will hand over the collected funds to "Caps for the Future", which already have a medical van for the ambulance. The money will be for the specialized neonatology equipment.

THE CHILDREN'S FOOTBALL SCHOOL AT ODK - PLOVDIV WILL MEET THE FOOTBALLERS OF "LOCOMOTIVE" AND "BOTEV"

On June 1 at 5.00 pm on the football field of the Youth Center - Plovdiv, at the Rowing Base, children from the football school at the Municipal Children's Complex - Plovdiv will meet with players from the representative teams of PFC "Lokomotiv" and PFC "Botev". Footballers from both clubs will show training techniques to the children and will train together.

The motto of the initiative, organized by ODK, is "Lokomotiv and Botev, TOGETHER for the children of Plovdiv".

On June 1, 2021, at 7 pm, on the stage of the Hall of Culture "Boris Hristov", the premiere of the "Ballet Desserts" performance by the Buratino Ballet Studio will take place. The staging title of the show was provoked by Gioachino Rossini's album - "Musical Desserts". Buratino Ballet Studio also developed their idea with the help of Benjamin Britton, an English composer, and his Musical Evenings, Op. 9, which he re-created on Rossini's music. Thus, the choreographers Assoc. Prof. Dr. Zhelka Tabakova and Dr. Bonka Matova subordinated their idea to the melody of Rossini, in which he is unsurpassed. They revealed the world of ballet, the world of emotions, excitement, harmony and eternal pursuit of beauty and goodness. All students of the ballet studio are currently participating in the performance.

THE CHILDREN'S RAILWAY "FLAG OF PEACE" will be free for three days for all children under 18 on the occasion of Children's Day - June 1. With decision №141 of May 20, the Municipal Council of Plovdiv gave consent for all children up to 18 years of age to use the "Flag of Peace" railway free of charge on June 1, 2 and 3, 2021. In order to better organize the children's railway, located at the Youth Hill, it will work with advance reservation, which can be made by phone: +359 889 922 388.
